About the Artist…

Anel Schulze (b. 1965, Middelburg) is a mixed media artist who lives and works on a farm near Hendrina, Mpumalanga. In 1987 she completed a Diploma in Clothing design at the then Pretoria Technikon. A lecturer in design at vaal Triangle Technikon from 1989 to 1991.

Started to pursue prophetic art after being introduced to it in 2004. Deliberately started producing art part-time in 2015 while completing some art modules at Unisa for a few years.

Schulze attended a workshop of Wendy Manzo at the Gold Coast, Australia for speed-painting-worship-art in 2019. Since then, actively doing prophetic speed paintings during worship at church services. She is intentional about equipping a body of artists to rise up in the church globally. Through spontaneous, experimental processes in both two- and three-dimensional artworks, the artist investigates themes around human & Devine relationships and interactions. The context of her work is informed by her Christian faith & aims to inspire & challenge the viewer.
